As fate would have it, they did.
With a 60 percent chance of rain, we braved the elements on the three-hour drive down to Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Just as we arrived at the trail to the highest point along the Appalachian Trail, the rain stopped and the grey clouds passed. These two could honestly not have asked for better weather. We spent nearly two hours after the ceremony soaking in the beautiful scenery all around us. That morning, I was spoiled in more ways than one.
So glad I called dibs.
Congratulations, David and Mel!
