Filipinos usually have one of the three following things in common: a) You call all your friends' parents "Auntie" and "Uncle", b) Your house smells like Filipino food, and c) You love taking pictures. And in this case, the answer is d) All of the above. We didn't go outside because we were worried we'd smell of eggrolls and pancit after two hours indoors, but to take advantage of the beautiful fall foliage at a nearby park. Auntie Rhona and Uncle Jun, godparents in absentia at our wedding, are parents of my bff and classmate since grade school, Celesti, who's in town doing pharmacy rotations for a few weeks. We couldn't pass up the chance to take some family portraits because, well, I've explained that already haven't I? |
